A 2-day Ooty trip works best as a Saturday-up, Sunday-down weekend. The trick is starting Doddabetta early and skipping the things that aren't worth your time.
Day 1 — Highlights
- 7 AM — Doddabetta peak (beat the crowds)
- 10 AM — Botanical Gardens
- 1 PM — Lunch at a heritage café
- 3 PM — Tea Museum
- 5 PM — Boating at Ooty Lake
- Evening — Café hop on Charring Cross
Day 2 — Coonoor + Toy Train
- 8 AM — Drive to Coonoor
- 9:30 AM — Sim's Park
- 11 AM — Dolphin's Nose & Lamb's Rock
- 1 PM — Estate-café lunch
- 3 PM — Toy train Coonoor → Mettupalayam
- Evening — Drop to Coimbatore
