Our Story

Ooty Holidays is the Nilgiris-focused arm of Holiday Tour Maker, a Tamil Nadu tour operator that has been running since 2007. Holiday Tour Maker built its reputation across South India from a Kodaikanal base — the parent brand still shows up on TripAdvisor under Kodaikanal. Ooty Holidays' own booking studio operates from Ooty. Ooty Holidays was carved out as the dedicated Ooty-and-Nilgiris division so that one team could specialise fully in this destination rather than juggle it alongside every other hill station in the region.

The Ooty arm has been planning Nilgiris trips end-to-end since 2004, which is where the “20+ years on the ground” figure comes from. Over that stretch we have built 500+ curated itineraries and hosted 10,000+ travellers, working with 50+ inspected stays that cover the full dual-track range — budget-friendly 3★ hotels through to ultra-luxury glamping, treehouses and private pool villas.
